Tips For Camp
- Save money so you can go, ask extended family members if you need to.
- Do all of your summer training so you are fit & can qualify.
- Plan your vacation time well before the start of the season.
- Find training partners that will help you improve.
- Hydrate & rest before time trial.
Limitless athletes that score the most points during the summer months will qualify for camp. This includes a combination between minutes run & performance standards at time trials. This combination ensures that those that qualify truly deserve to go!
For example, a boy athlete that runs 17:30 and completes 1,180 minutes of running will earn...
17:30 = 1200 points .... 1,180min = 1180 points
1200 + 1180 = 2380 points
1. Every minute you run counts!
- Between 6/11 & 7/14, you'll need to record the minutes you run each day.
- Your score for this portion of point values is.... 1 minute = 1 point
2. Race Time Trial
- Date: Monday, July 16th
- 7:30pm @ Liberty High School Track
- Race Distance: 3 Miles on track
- Points scored will be earned based on the time range the athlete runs in (see point chart)
- Tie breaks in points will go to the faster race time.
3. Add up the points!
IF YOU WANT TO GO TO LIMITLESS XC CAMP, YOU NEED TO WORK EXTREMELY HARD TO EARN A SPOT!
DO YOUR SUMMER RUNNING!
- Most points for top 14 boys & top 14 girls will qualify. Highest points get priority on where he/she sleeps. If less interest in one gender, we will add more spots for another gender.
4. if you qualify, YOU MUST attend the camp meeting. Room selections will be made here.
- Camp meeting is at Oak Meadow Park after practice on Tuesday, July 16th.
